Students Moving Back with Parents after Graduation to Reduce Expenses

Charlotte Andrews, 22, moved home after graduating from the University of Chichester, with a degree in studies of the media last year. She waitresses for four months before finding work experience in a public relations agency in London. “I did not want to stay in Chichester and I knew I wanted to work in London, so it was cheaper to live and travel with my parents because I could not afford to go out on my own,” he said.

She now has a job to earn £ 17,500 a year as assistant public relations account, but lives at home in Epsom, Surrey, and pays £ 200 a month in rent to his mother and father who are responsible for all meals , washing and ironing. “I pay for my car and my phone. Once the rent and bills have come and have a social life that there is not much. This year I found my feet, but next year I will start putting money each month and, finally, I want to go out and get my own place. ”

Charlotte thinks it will be able to leave in 2011. “That gives me a couple of years to save.”

She has a good relationship with their parents, but it was difficult to adjust at first, after college. “Sometimes I am sure that bother them, but that’s like any other child”.
